Great British Flowers
Since its opening in 1983 The Garden of Oxford has been providing Oxford with the finest seasonal cut flowers, both from London’s New Covent Garden Market and from a number of local growers. With a particular focus on English grown varieties, they select their own flowers from London twice a week and imported varieties arrive in between.

With our own full-time driver, we are able to provide a prompt and reliable delivery service throughout Oxford and the surrounding area – same-day delivery is an option whenever possible.
In addition to fresh cut-flowers, we also stock both indoor and outdoor plants along with decorative and terracotta pottery.
Our shop changes with the seasons, and we always have something to tempt the gardener – from seeds to bulbs, from roots to specimen plants.
At Christmas we supply top-quality, English-grown Nordmann-fir Christmas trees , alongside locally-grown holly, mistletoe from Shropshire, and beautiful door wreaths.
In addition to a passion for flowers, we also have a passion for our customers and we are committed to the highest levels of customer service – we take great pleasure in delivering both beautiful flowers and customer satisfaction.
MEET THE TRADER
A local lad, Paul Birtles, who started at Bonner’s fruit and veg stall as a teenager, has always been passionate about Oxford’s Historic Covered Market. He has been at the helm of “The Garden of Oxford” since 1984, and his passion and enthusiasm for the shop remains undiminished. With 40 plus years of experience in the field, ties to New Covent Garden flower market, Spalding Auction and many other suppliers, he continues to stock this little flower shop full to the brim with new and interesting flowers and plants.

We source as many British grown flowers as possible, supplementing with Dutch grown stems where needed.
