Arbequina was opened in 2016 by Ben, Rufus & Ben. The aim was to create tapas style sharing dishes, with explosive and well-married flavours from Spain and beyond. The focus has, and will always be, on quality, unique and well-sourced ingredients.
It’s distinctive long, zinc bar quickly became a favourite of locals looking to eat great food in an exciting, buzzy atmosphere.
Receiving high praise from the Guardian, Time-Out magazines & other national & international publications, Arbequina is a proud member of the Michelin guide since 2017.
Arbequina continued to evolve and in 2021 incorporated a neighbouring derelict site to the restaurant. This now adds stunning, hand-crafted cocktails, natural wines & more to compliment your visit.
In 2026 the second site of Arbequina is opening in historic Covered Market, and we are incredibly excited to be able to expand our offering and champion real passion and love for the hospitality industry!

Do you take reservations?
Yes we do, these can be made directly through our website. Please do take care to book the correct location you are looking for!
I have an allergy, is that easily catered for?
Yes, our menu includes a lot of dishes cooked in a variety of ways – and we are always happy to accommodate any dietary needs where possible! Please just ask a member of staff for any help needed
Do I have to dine with you?
No, all guests are very welcome to drop in just for a drink, a snack or a coffee – we’re happy to serve you all!
