Three days of free music as the market square becomes The Oxford Folk Festival hub
From Friday 11 to Sunday 13 April, the historic Covered Market will once again be the beating heart of the Oxford Folk Festival as the central market square rings out offering free live music across all three days of the festival.
Hosted in collaboration with The Market Tap by Tap Social, as well as a huge variety of folk bands from across Oxfordshire, this year’s line-up includes a special Friday performance (2:15pm) from Grenzenlos, a vibrant six-piece folk band visiting from Oxford’s twin city, Bonn.
On Saturday don’t miss the atmospheric Saturday evening concert from rising stars Restless Oceans – it’s the perfect excuse to soak up some magic after dark.
Whether you’re just passing through or planning your whole weekend around the festival, the Covered Market will be the place to be. It’s free, it’s friendly, and it’s packed with feel-good folk energy from across Oxfordshire and beyond.
So grab a drink, find a spot, and let the music do the rest.
