We’re 250years old and we’re still making history. Thursday 25th July Market Street will be hosting a celebration to mark the launch of the street’s new trial makeover.
Market Street party time!
From 12 noon to 3pm Market Street will come alive with a raft of free children’s activities in collaboration with The Story Museum, Museum of Oxford, Space Store and more here’s what’s on…
At midday Oxford Lord Mayor, Councillor Mike Rowley will begin the party with a welcome speech. Then until 3pm activities will include…
- two 35-minute immersive performances by WhatNot Theatre
- dragon arts and crafts with The Story Museum
- virtual trip to space with The Space Store
- local history and curiosities from the Museum of Oxford
- balloon modelling and stilt walking.
From 5 -8pm Market Street will be flowing with summer jazz vibes as we welcome Upstairs at Ronnie Scott’s regulars Fi Fi le Mer. There’s no need to buy tickets all this is free for everyone!
Market Street will be closed to all traffic from 10am – 4pm.
